The veteran producer of Kannada cinema, Dwarakish, is unable to get the title 'Vishnuvardhana'for his 47th production and this has made him write a letter to the Union Information Minister, Ambika Soni. Actor, producer and director Dwarakish, has objected strongly to the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce and had even approached the South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce, with a complaint.

'Vishnuvardhana'is the name of an icon of Kannada cinema and his wife Dr Bharathi Vishnuvardhana has strictly opposed the permission to use the name for Dwarakish's film. Old rivalry is the main reason. Meanwhile the hero of 'Vishnuvardhana', Kichcha Sudeep is silent on the whole controversy as the film's shooting is 60 percent finished. Sudeep has two Mallu girls, Priyamani and Bhavana, as heroines in this film.
