Veteran Bollywood actor Dilip Kumar and wife Saira Banu's Pali Hill property was handed over to them in September from real estate firm Prajita Developers Pvt. Ltd. following a Supreme Court order. However, things don't seem right for them as Saira Banu sent a written complaint to Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis about alleged harassment in the hands of a builder Samir Bhojwani.
As per the reports, Banu said that Samir Bhojwani was falsely claiming to be the owner of the premises. She also accused him of threatening her husband, nephew to leave the property. "I am a senior citizen, and to harass us, the accused has come up with a conspiracy to usurp the property," she said. The 73-year-old actress has also reportedly sent a letter to the economic offences wing.
Speaking to a leading daily Samir said, "The matter is sub judice before the court, in which the complainant is also a party. Despite of the factual position, the complainant has chosen to make completely false allegations of forged documents, which is regrettable."
Claiming that Dilip Kumar was only a lessee and that the property was purchased by his late father N N Bhojwani from the Mulraj Khatau Trust in 1980, he added, "In 2010, after the bungalow was demolished, I filed a case for vacant possession because the lessee had breached the covenant of the lease."
