(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Edward Norton is in a lovely place right now because he doesnt need to prove himself anymore.

The 41-year-old American actor has had a long and successful Hollywood career, appearing in movies such as Fight Club, American History X, and Primal Fear.

Edward has been taking on a great number of producing roles in his movies too, starring in and producing movies such as 2009 comedy Leaves of Grass. He admits he is much more selective about the parts he takes on nowadays, and feels he is in a rather privileged position.

"I try not to work when I don't feel it," he told British newspaper The Independent.

"I don't have anything to prove to anybody, which is a lovely place to be."

The star has fond memories of the 90s when he was the number one actor on everybodys lips thanks to his roles in 1999s Fight Club and the previous years smash American History X. However, he admits it was never his aim to create a huge buzz.

You have these chapters in your life and I was never trying to have a masterplan. I believe that you have to follow the stream. You can't control everything that comes to you. You have choices but I don't see how I could have done it differently, he explained. (C) Cover Media
