Elizabeth Olsen didn't want to be like her famous twin sisters when she was growing up as they "never stopped working".

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen famously started acting on American television show Full House when they were just babies. The 25-year-olds have gone on to enjoy solid acting careers and also created a popular fashion business.

Their younger sister Elizabeth, 22, is just starting out in movies but is happy to have taken her time.

"I didn't want what they had, because they never stopped working. I did start auditioning, but I was missing out on other things, like ballet. So I waited," she explained.

Growing up was hard for the star because her sisters were so well known. She had just got used to people asking her about Mary-Kate and Ashley when things began to change.

"It's funny, because it's always been, You look like one of those Olsen twins. And now it's, Elizabeth Olsen!' They're not supposed to know that," she laughed to the February edition of GQ magazine.

Elizabeth appear in Silent House last year and knows many think she's chosen to work in independent movies so she's separate from her famous family members.

She's keen to clarify that isn't the case. "No. Nobody would cast me in a studio movie. I didn't even get cast for any of the television things I went for!" she laughed.
