(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Emily Deschanel has given birth to a baby boy.
The 34-year-old actress and her husband actor David Hornsby welcomed their first child together this week. The couple have called him Henry Hornsby.
A representative for Emily confirmed to People magazine that the star gave birth on Wednesday. Both mother and baby are believed to be doing well.
Emily's Bones co-star, TJ Thyne, has taken to his Twitter account to congratulate the pair.
"CONGRATULATIONS EMILY D!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" he tweeted. "Yay yay yay!!! :0) (sic)"
Emily and David - best known for his role as Cricket in It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia - got married in an intimate ceremony in Los Angeles in September 2010.
Emily announced she was expecting her first baby back in March and later revealed she was enjoying the experience.
"I really like being pregnant. I'm in awe of the process and the science. And seeing my belly move is pretty amazing; it's like in the movie Alien," she said this summer.
The actress maintained her vegan diet throughout her pregnancy.
Emily's sister, actress Zooey Deschanel, will no doubt be visiting her sister soon.
Shortly after the pregnancy was announced she expressed her delight on Twitter.
