Emma Stone: Fame is alienating

21st October 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Emma Stone says fame sometimes makes her feel like a "zoo animal".

The actress is enjoying a busy time in Hollywood, appearing in movies including The Help, Crazy, Stupid, Love and The Amazing Spider-Man.

Emma is thrilled that her career is continuing to flourish, but admits it can be difficult to live in the public spotlight and face criticism.

"When people say something, it's really nice. But when people whisper or point, and you feel like you're a zoo animal, then it's scary and odd, because it's alienating," she said in an interview with British newspaper The Independent.

The 22-year-old star continues to struggle with her Hollywood status.

She insists she has remained down-to-earth and still can't help reading the latest gossip in celebrity magazines.

"I'm not one of these people that must disassociate themselves from it, or has to cut it off," she explained. "Other than I get addicted to it, so I have to do it in moderation!"

As well as reading magazines, Emma has confessed she also loves surfing the internet.

Even though the star has a Twitter page, she is too afraid to post messages in case she is ridiculed.

"I get addicted to the internet," she added. "I have a Twitter account. I look at it a lot, but I don't tweet. I'd be terrified that I'd say something and never be able to live it down." (C) Cover Media
