(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Emma Watson isn't usually interested in looks as she hates it when attractive people "get boring" after ten minutes.

The actress is famed for playing Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter movies, but prefers to keep her personal life out of the public eye. At the moment she's dating Johnny Simmons, who she met while shooting upcoming release The Perks of Being a Wallflower.

Emma explained she doesn't go for any one characteristic when looking for a new partner, adding appearances are the least important consideration.

"Oh, on a superficial level, I don't have a type. You could line up the photographs of all the guys I've dated and they look totally different," she told Company magazine. "You won't believe but it really is more to do with personalities rather than looks. Because if someone's nice to look at but gets boring after ten minutes, their looks aren't important."

The 21-year-old likes men to have good manners and also enjoys having intellectual debates with people she is dating.

Fame has made romantic endeavours more difficult for the star, although she has grown adept at working out who is really interested in her and who just wants a piece of her lifestyle.

"I can spot people like that a mile off," she explained. "It's easy to figure out who's who and, generally, I can just tell. I don't get paranoid about it because otherwise you'd never let anyone in. It took me a year at university to trust anyone properly, but sometimes you have to take a risk because otherwise you're not really living and that's pretty sad." (C) Cover Media
