Emma Watson loved being muse

29th June 2011

(Cover) - EN Star Style - Emma Watson loved her "low-key" styling for being an artistic muse.

The 21-year-old British beauty is the star of a new art exhibition by one of her favourite artists, Mark Demsteader.

Emma is the subject of Mark's current exhibition of 34 artworks which took three months to produce.

The 48-year-old artist has painted a series of portraits to mark the star's 21st birthday and they are currently on show at the Panter & Hall Gallery in London, England.

Emma says "sitting" for the artist was a very different experience to her previous encounters on magazine shoots.

"Whilst I didn't sit for Mark as such, it was a completely different photo shoot to anything I've ever done before. It was really low-key - I did my own make-up and just brought a selection of very simple dresses for the silhouette. Mark did the lighting. Quite different to my British Vogue cover shoot in 2010 which involved a huge team of professionals!" she quipped in an interview with Vogue.

Emma is thrilled with the finished works. The actress says it is difficult to choose a stand-out piece among the paintings, however, she cites an oil painting where she is wearing a yellow dress as her favourite.

"I am thrilled with how they have come out; they are beautiful. Mark is so talented - I wish I had a fraction of his skill!" she gushed. "It is very hard for me to choose a favourite as they are all beautiful. However I think my favourite is the oil painting in a yellow dress." (C) Cover Media
