Farrah Fawcett impressed on Angels set

6th May 2012

Farrah Fawcett left "big shoes" to fill when she departed TV show Charlie's Angels.

The late actress rose to international fame when she appeared as a private investigator in the first season of the hit TV series. She was replaced by stunning star Cheryl Ladd, who was initially anxious about taking over.

"They were big shoes!" she exclaimed in an interview with the UK edition of OK! magazine. "I was 25 when I did my first episode and I had a two-year-old daughter. When you are young you think you are invincible and you can do everything, but I had a lot on my plate."

Cheryl had to get over the initial daunting feelings she experienced. The 60-year-old star embraced the opportunity she was given.

"I was a working actress. I hadn't had that exposure. Everybody said to me, 'Are you crazy? This is the opportunity train coming your way.' It was the biggest show on TV - and the ratings actually went up after I joined, which I am really proud of," she said.

"It's given me a 37-year career."
