Organizers of every award ceremony are paying their tributes to Bollywoood's late filmmaker Yash Chopra in their own respective style. Shah Rukh Khan performed to Yash Chopra's hit numbers along with his leading ladies at the Zee Cine Awards and the 58th Idea Filmfare Awards that was held recently.
The famous filmmaker was awarded 'The Lifetime Achievement Award' by Filmfare for his superlative contribution in the Hindi film industry. Madhuri Dixit who worked with Yash Chopra in 'Dil To Pagal Hai' handed over the award to Yash's wife Pamela Chopra on stage.
Though Yash Chopra's absence couldn't be filled by anyone, his wife Pamela thanked the jury and the audiences in a special way. "Yash ji came to Bombay with Rs 200 in his pocket, dreams and his mother's blessings. He made his dreams come true in the 50 odd years of his career and all this happened due to his dedication towards the craft," she said.
She further said that Yash Chopra's best quality was the fact that he never knew what he was. "He was the humblest person. He never knew that he was Yash Chopra which I believe was his greatest quality. He loved three things to the core - films, food and family - in the same order," added Pamela who left a smile on everyone's faces.
