(Cover) - EN Movies - Freida Pinto enjoyed the "challenge" of taking CGI to the next level in Rise of the Planet of the Apes.
The 26-year-old Indian actress stars in the upcoming sci-fi drama, which is a prequel to the hugely successful Planet of the Apes movie franchise.
Freida portrays Caroline Aranha in the picture, which boasts all the latest technological tricks, and was thrilled the movie pushed CGI methods to the limit.
"The technology that has been used in the film, the CGI, we have taken it out into the open," she gushed to reporters in a video captured by the BBC.
"We're not confined to the studio anymore. It is a bigger challenge in that sense and there's a lot more coordination, a lot more choreography that needs to be done in this."
Freida also expressed her happiness at the decision not to use real apes in the film at all. The picture focuses on scientists using monkeys for experiments, and director Rupert Wyatt decided to use technology to create the apes instead as he didn't feel it would be appropriate to use real animals.
"It looks real, it's unbelievable that we don't shoot with real apes and we don't need them. That's the first step, we didn't need the real apes anymore.
"We can let them be where they have to be and we can work with actors," smiled the actress. (C) Cover Media
