(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Gerard Butler has bemoaned his "terrible" love life.

The Scottish actor is renowned for having a way with the ladies, having been linked to some of the most famous women in the world. He is believed to have dated Jennifer Aniston after working with her on The Bounty Hunter, and is also thought to have been close to Jessica Biel and Reese Witherspoon.

Despite his reputation, Gerard insists his romantic life isn't as red hot as people think. He was spotted talking to several gorgeous ladies at a recent charity benefit, but even that couldn't lift his spirits.

"It's terrible!" he said, when asked how his love life is as he left the party.

Gerard posed for pictures with 90210 actress AnnaLynne McCord during the event, and was also seen talking to screenwriter-and-director Paul Haggis.

Most recently, Gerard was linked to actress Ashley Greene. The lothario was seen deep in conversation with the star at a fashion awards after-party, where he laughed and joked with her.

"Gerard spent part of the evening chatting, flirting and laughing with actress Ashley Greene, who clearly seemed amused by Butler," the New York Daily News reported at the time.

Before that, he was spotted giving Jessica Biel a lift on his motorbike. (C) Cover Media
