The original 'Masti' released in 2004 and enthralled the audiences like never before. The film that helmed the issue of 'extra-marital' affairs in a funny way will be now made into a franchise as the makers are ready with its naughtier sequel 'Grand Masti'. 

Though the film was announced way before, it was just recently when director Indra Kumar spilled the beans over the sequel.

First he revealed what took them so long to come up with a sequel and here's he justifying his stand. "We have filmmakers making sequels after 20 years. Considering that, we're coming out with our sequel at the right time. 'Masti' surprised, shocked and entertained the audience. We didn't want to make a sequel just for the sake of it. The idea is to come out with something that's better than the first. Otherwise, there's no point in making a sequel," said Indra Kumar. 

When probed further, he added that the flm will certainly be naughtier and bolder than the first. "It's an adult comedy no doubt, but it's going to be more entertaining than the first," added Kumar. 

The team has already started shooting for the film and plan to wrap up by November. It is slated to release by mid 2013.
