Giuliana Rancic is to become a mother for the first time.

The TV host and her husband Bill Rancic have documented their struggles to conceive in their reality TV show Giuliana & Bill. They were forced to put their family plans on hold when Giuliana was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2011.

However, the pair are thrilled to announce they are now going to be parents thanks to a gestational surrogate.

"We are so thrilled that our prayers have been answered," Giuliana told E! Online.

Bill added: "We are absolutely ecstatic to be sharing this with everyone who has been following our journey."

The pair's bundle of joy will arrive in the summer and will be their biological baby.

They couldn't be happier and want to thanks their fans for supporting them over the last few months.

"We received an incredible amount of love and prayers from viewers around the world," Giuliana said. "We want to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of them for their love."
