(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Halle Berry has said that her latest film has been like a 12-year long pregnancy.
The Oscar-winning actress described her emotional connection to Frankie and Alice, in which she plays a young woman with a multiple personality disorder who struggles not to give into her racist alter-ego.
The 44-year-old says that the film was like her baby and at one point she feared it would never secure a release date.
I just am happy that the film is coming out. This is a little movie that I thought may never have seen the light of day until we found the right distributor so just to know its been my passion project for the last 12 years and its finally coming out and whoever will see it will see it and that will make me really, really happy thats what I do it for, she told Extra. I've been working on it for 12 years. It's a real long pregnancy.
However the modest Hollywood star is playing down the Oscar buzz surrounding the role.
She has previously been honoured with the prestigious Best Actress film award for her role in Monsters Ball.
Oh, Im not even thinking about that, she said when asked if she thought she was likely to get another for Frankie and Alice. I love the one I have. (C) Cover Media
