(Cover) - EN Star Style - Halle Berry wears sunscreen on a daily basis to ensure she retains her youthful good looks.

The beautiful actress looks at least ten years younger than her 44 years, and says her secret to looking so good is applying a high-factor sun lotion to protect her skin from damaging UV rays. Halle admits as a teenager she used to worship the sun because she felt better about herself with a glow, although nowadays remaining wrinkle-free is more important to her.

If you're young you always think, I want to be tanned! But you forget about the consequences. That's why I try to convey young women and men: avoid the sun, then your skin will age much slower, she told the German edition of OK! magazine.

The star says her plans to keep out of sunlight dont always go to plan though, as her role as a movie star often requires her to shoot outside for hours on end. To make sure she doesnt damage her skin, Halle always carries sunscreen with her.

Above all I try to avoid sun. That doesn't always work though. I just finished a shooting where I was on a boat for five weeks from sunrise to sunset, she explained.

I put on a very high sun protection factor but I do this every day anyway.

Halle also discussed how she isnt a big follower of fashion, admitting she prefers to stick to what she knows suits her. The actress has developed an elegant style over the years, and she has no plans to ruin her chic image by experimenting with new looks.

"I am not really interested in trends. Today I know what looks good on me and am devoted to that look," she asserted. (C) Cover Media
