Halle Berry's France move faces setback

22nd August 2012

Halle Berry's custody report apparently recommends her daughter "shouldn't be separated from her father".

The actress is currently involved in a bitter battle with her ex-partner Gabriel Aubry over the custody of four-year-old Nahla. Halle wants to move to France with Nahla but this is being blocked by Gabriel. The custody report will reportedly play a large part in the judge's final decision on whether Halle's move request will be allowed or not.

"The child custody report makes it perfectly clear that any move that would remove Gabriel from being an active presence in Nahla's life will be bad for the little girl," a source revealed to Radar Online. "Furthermore, the report says that Nahla shouldn't be separated from her father. Gabriel is Nahla's father, and he is a huge part of his life.

"The child custody report takes both Halle and Gabriel to task for not being able to put aside their personal issues for the sake of their little girl."

The Hollywood actress is eager to move to France because her fianc Olivier Martinez is residing in the European country. Gabriel is strongly contesting the star's plan because he is worried he will grow distant from his child. The custody case is still continuing and could apparently last for another ten days.
