Amy Adams turns 38 years old today. The gifted and beautiful actress was born on August 20, 1974 in Vicenza, Italy and relocated to the United States when she was about 8 years old. Adam has starred in films like Enchanted, Drop Dead Gorgeous and Catch Me If You can among many others.

Adam pursued ballet training and dancing, as well as musical theater, and continued auditioning for television and film roles until she landed several that launched her into fame. It wasn't until she starred in the 2005 film Junebug that Adams made her breakthrough: She received an Academy Award nomination for best supporting actress for her role in the film. And later after five years she was again an Academy Award nominee for best supporting actress for he role in the film ‘The Fighter’ co-starring Christian Bale and Mark Wahlberg.

The drop dead gorgeous actress is engaged to actor and artist Darren Le Gallo in 2008, and gave birth to their daughter two years later. Adams continues to star in films and perform in live theater, such as Shakespeare in The Park.
