Hollywood actor Brad Pitt will be celebrating his 48th birthday today.

Brad Pitt was born on 18th December 1963 to Jane Etta (née Hillhouse), a high school counselor, and William Alvin Pitt, a truck company owner,in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Along with his siblings Doug (born 1966) and Julie Neal (born 1969),he grew up in Springfield, Missouri, where the family moved soon after his birth.

Brad Pitt was nominated for David Fincher's  film 'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button' (2008).He played the role of a sexy scoundrel hitchhiker in the 1991 movie 'Thelma and Louise'. Pitt co-starred with Tom Cruise in Anne Rice's 'Interview With A Vampire' (1994), with Bruce Willis in 'Twelve Monkeys' (1995) and with Harrison Ford in 'The Devil's Own '(1997).

He has also acted in Fincher's 'Se7en' (1995), in Fincher's brutal urban psychodrama 'Fight Club' (1999), and in 'Spy Game' (2001).

He's also acted in the ensemble comedy in 'Ocean's Eleven' (2001) and its sequels, and in the Coen brothers 2008 comedy 'Burn After Reading'.

 He's  also done big-budget star vehicles like 'Troy' (2004) and 'Mr. and Mrs. Smith' (2005). His other films include 'A River Runs Through It '(1992), 'Seven Years in Tibet' (1997), 'The Mexican' (2001), 'Babel' (2006) and 'The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford' (2007).
