'I am Kalam' gets royal recognition

After getting international recognition, the feature film 'I am Kalam' is all set to get a royal touch with Prince Charles wanting to see the critically acclaimed movie. The Prince requested a special screening to be done at the Buckingham Palace. The movie recently proved its mettle at the Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles, as it won the Audience Choice Award for the Best Feature Film. Gulshan Grover, who acts in the film met Prince Charles in London and discussed the film with him.

The film is the story of a child and his struggle to achieve his dreams. The film is set in Bikaner, Rajasthan and runs on a plot that's based on the protagonist named 'Chhotu' and his struggle for education.

'I am Kalam' is the feature debut of International Award winning director Nila Madhab Panda, who has produced and directed over 60�documentaries, short films, television dramas and films for international and national broadcasters. A Delhi-based, 12 year old underprivileged child Harsh Mayar, the leading protagonist, is making his debut with this critically acclaimed film. This is also the first time ever that a development organization in India has produced a feature film.
