9th April 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Jada Pinkett Smith says daughter Willow was born to sing to the world.

The ten-year-old released her debut single Whip My Hair last year, and it soon became a global hit. The pint-sized pop singer who is signed to Jay-Zs record label reached number 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 with the catchy track.

Willow also made her acting debut in 2007 in the film I am Legend, and Jada insists the rising star was always destined for a career in entertainment. The 39-year-old star says her daughter is cherishing every moment in the spotlight, as no-one knows how long it will last.

Willow has known exactly what she wants ever since she was in her stroller. Right now, she wants to get out and sing to the world. This thing may die in a years time or ten years, or she may still be doing it when shes 40; but its a drive inside of her, she told Grazia magazine.

Jada, who also has son Jaden, 12, with Hollywood legend Will Smith, learnt a lot from having children. The actress who shot to fame in 1996 comedy The Nutty Professor says Willow and Jaden influence her way of thinking.

From Jaden, I have learnt to go with the flow, and with Willow Ive learnt to see the fearlessness I had as a kid. She is full of fearlessness and its a wonderful thing to have, she added. (C) Cover Media
