(Cover) - EN Fashion - Janice Dickinson says fashion designers used to tell her she was too fat.

The 55-year-old began her modelling career back in the 70s, and has proclaimed herself the worlds first ever supermodel.

Although famous for her slender frame, Janice has revealed she was horrified when designers told her she needed to shed a few pounds in the past.

Sometimes, when the designers set out to do the dress girls, understand this they were sitting there and telling me, Youre too fat, youre too fat. I was thinking, What is wrong with you? she told British daytime show Loose Women.

Despite her outrage at being told to lose weight, Janice admits she still doesnt buy into the idea of plus-size models. The star revealed that when she became a model agent for her own reality television show in 2006 her son Nathan encouraged her to take on some larger models, but she wasnt interested.

When I did the Janice Dickinson Modelling Agency show which you saw, it was my son who tried to incorporate the plus size tradition and I said no, she added.

I just want to say I love women on all creeds and races. But sizes belong at home. (C) Cover Media
