The film was screened yesterday and will be shown as a Lifetime TV movie.
The project is an anthology of five short films exploring the impact of breast cancer on people's lives.
Jennifer is best known for playing comedic roles on film and TV and this is the first time she has tried her hand at directing.
"Honestly, I just had so much fun," Jennifer told ET Online at the New York screening. "And I think when you're around the camera for so many years you kind of just get a bit of an instinct."
The film stars famous faces Lyndsy Fonseca, Ginnifer Goodwin, Patricia Clarkson and Josh Holloway.
Singer-songwriter Alicia Keys and actress Demi Moore also directed portions of the film.
Demi described creating the movies as "an incredible community of women coming together".
The 48-year-old previously directed short movie Streak in 2008.
Demi adored working on Five and hinted that she would like to do more directing in the future.
"I loved it," Demi revealed. "Actually, I think I almost enjoyed it more than being in front of the camera."
