Poonam Kaur is popular in Kollywood for her roles in Nenjirukkum Varai and Payanam. The actress is starting her second innings in Tamil cinema with Vishal starrer Vedi, which is set to hit the screens this Friday.
'Vedi is a remake of Tollywood hit Souryam and I have played the character which I performed in the original version. It is a role with substance. I loved being part of Vedi,' she says.
Hailing Prabhudeva and Vishal, the director and protagonist of Vedi, respectively, she says, 'Both are very friendly and co-operative. They supported me a lot on the sets of Vedi. Prabhudeva is a talented director, I must say.'
On her role in Payanam, a bilingual that made waves recently, she says, 'Prakashraj's production ventures mean quality. So was the case of Payanam, which was directed by Radha Mohan. Acting with Nagarjuna was a great experience.'
