(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Jennifer Aniston reportedly inspired Brad Pitt to make a Jeff Buckley biopic when they were married.
The 42-year-old Hollywood actress was married to Brad, 47, from 2000 to 2005, and the pair had a joint production company called Plan B.
One of the projects the couple originally had in the pipeline was the currently untitled Jeff Buckley biopic, which producers Michelle Sy and Orian Williams are currently "in the midst of casting".
According to the producers, Brad was keen on producing rather than starring in - a film about Jeff's life after Jennifer encouraged him to listen to Jeff's folk-style music. He soon became a huge fan of the late singer who passed away in 1997.
"Jennifer Aniston actually introduced Brad to Jeff's music. She has always been a fan of his," the producers told E! Online.
"But when they broke up, the project never came to fruition because it was part of their joint Plan B production company."
Michelle and Orian also divulged how Brad had impressed Jeff's mom Mary Guibert, who is executive producer on the current film and has access to her late son's intimate journals and recordings. She had reportedly been wary about film projects until Brad spoke to her.
"The only person Jeff's mother ever said yes to was Brad Pitt," said Michelle and Orian.
"He was really kind to her and she appreciated that he wanted to make a movie inspired by Jeff's life.
"She was impressed that Brad took interest in her son's life and wanted to make a film about him for the right reasons and in the right way." (C) Cover Media
