American Singer, actress and a spokesperson, Jennifer Hudson is a star in the true sense. 

Born on September 12, 1981, in Chicago, Illionis, Jennifer Hudson started singing as a child. She started singing with the church choir and also participated in the community theatre right from the age of seven. Jennifer Hudson was among the top seven contestants in the American Idol Season 3 and in spite of not having won the top position, she was still the most popular and the favourite among many. In January 2002, Hudson signed her first recording contract with Righteous Records, a Chicago-based independent record label. There was no looking back after this. She sang "Will You Be There" at the Michael Jackson memorial service on July 7, 2009.

Her film career began in 2005. In November 2005, Jennifer Hudson, along with singer Beyonce Knowles and hollywood actors Jamie Foxx and Eddie Murphy, made her debut in Hollywood for the film adaptation of the musical 'Dreamgirls'. She went on to act in many films like 'Sex and the City', 'The Secret Life of Bees', Fragments and Winnie.

Throughout her life till date, she has won many prestigious awards. Her film debut through 'Dreamgirls' won her an Academy Award for the BEst supporting actress, a Golden Globe, A BAFTA, an NAACP Image Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award.

Apart from singing and acting, Jennifer Hudson became the spokesperson for Weight Watchers in 2010.
