(Cover) - EN Movies - Jennifer Lawrence is the front runner to star alongside Mark Wahlberg in The Silver Linings Playbook.

The American actress, who is starring in the highly-anticipated The Hunger Games next year, is ahead of the Hollywood pack to star in the coveted role in the David O. Russell directed film.

Among the actresses thought to be under discussion are Rachel McAdams, Blake Lively and Anne Hathaway.

If she lands the role, Jennifer would shoot the film after she completes the role of Katniss Everdeen in the Gary Ross-directed thriller The Hunger Games, which is slated for a 2012 release.

In The Silver Linings Playbook , the 20-year-old star would play the "eccentric neighbour with problems of her own" who becomes involved with Mark's character.

Silver Linings is based on Matthew Quick's novel, which revolves around a former high school teacher who was institutionalised for depression and then released. He tries to win back his ex-wife but becomes involved with his neighbour.
