Jessica Alba sues weight loss company

12th October 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Jessica Alba is apparently suing a weight loss company.

The Hollywood actress has just given birth to her second baby, Haven, and has spoken about her desire to lose the baby weight "slowly but surely".

But a company that produces a girdle-like device called Belly Bandit has allegedly been using the star's name and likeness in their advertising and she wants to be compensated for it.

TMZ are reporting that Jessica is suing for more than a million dollars in damages and wants a share of the money that Belly Bandit has made using her name.

The lawsuit states that the company has "prominently featured and posted a photograph of Alba, and listed her name under the Celebrity Testimonials' section of their Website."

The legal documents also attest that Belly Bandit's packaging even has an endorsement on it that says, "Jessica Alba's #2 Secret for a Fast Post Pregnancy Slimdown!"

Jessica also told Britain's OK! magazine that she does not weigh herself and the post-baby pounds are coming off gradually as she does not put pressure on herself.

"I didn't gain too much this time so that made a difference and I started working out as my doctor said it was fine," she shared.

"I have definitely not lost the baby weight but it's coming off slowly but surely. I don't weigh myself. I just see what clothes fit."

Jessica is married to Cash Warren and they also have three-year-old daughter Honor. (C) Cover Media
