(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Jessica Simpson has reportedly chosen a godmother for her baby daughter.

The 31-year-old star gave birth to her first child, Maxwell, a few weeks ago and is busy planning the baptism ceremony. According to In Touch, Jessica has asked her best friend CaCee Cobb to have an integral part in Maxwell's life.

"CaCee and Jessica have been through so much together and Jessica loves her so much, it only made sense that she would ask her to be godmother," a source said.

The singer-turned-fashion designer is believed to have hired celebrity event organiser Mindy Weiss to help plan the baptism.

However, Jessica is apparently unsure where to hold the ceremony. She is thought to be torn between having the baptism at her home in Beverly Hills or her hometown of Waco, Texas, where many of her family members are based.

The star has embraced motherhood and she is looking forward to marrying her fianc Eric Johnson later this year.

"She and Eric are happier than they've ever been," the source added. (C) Cover Media
