'Chakravyuh' picks up speed at BO

29th October 2012

Chakravyuh', 'Ajab Gazabb Love' and 'Rush',  were the three films that released at the box office last week.

Though the audience was offered a varied range of films from different genres, all the three failed to cash in on the festive season. Releasing on the eve of Dussera and Bakri Eid, the films didn't quite attract the audiences as expected.

While 'Rush' and 'Ajab Gazabb Love' opened to lukewarm critical reviews, filmmaker Prakash Jha's 'Chakravyuh' got positive critical acclaim for its honest attempt to decode Naxalism.

Nonetheless, the box office collections of all these films were low.

After getting a mid-week release, 'Chakravyuh' garnered Rs. 9.40 cr till the weekend, while 'Ajab Gazabb Love' collected Rs. 2.65 cr.

But there are good hopes from 'Chakravyuh' as the film has been catching up on business after getting rave reviews, and positive word of mouth has been doing a world of good to the business of the film that is seeing an upward swing.
