Jessie J: Voted The BBCs Sound Of 2011

January 8, 2011 (Sampurn Wire): With music playing an important part of the entertainment industry there are many contests and polls to pick out the best of the albums, singles which hit stands in a year.

The poll has been run successfully for the past nine years and is considered to be one of the biggest trend setters in the industry of music.

Going by the rules, there is the BBCs Sound online poll which is a platform to showcase the most happening stars in various forms of music. There are about 160 influential music stalwarts who put in considerable amount of time, effort and interest to pick out the best new talent on the music circuit.

A recent poll conducted by the BBCs Sound saw the teen heart throb taking the first spot and she managed to reach the spot after rushing past the ever popular James Blake with great aplomb.

Jessie J, the incredible songwriter, pop artist, actress who debuted with Do it like a Dude has been compared to the likes of Tinie Tempah. Her first music was played by the BBC Radio 1Xtra. She has been a co-writer with Miley Cyrus and has also written for Justin Timberlake, Alicia Keys and Christina Aguilera before embarking on her own career as a singer of pop. Having starred in the popular musical Whistle down the Wind, she had experienced stardom ever since, she was all of eleven.

The list of the first five in the BBCs Sound of 2011 are- Jessie J, James Blake, The Vaccines, Jamie Woon and Clare Maguire in that order.
