Madhur Bhandarkar's 'Indu Sarkar' is gaining a lot of appreciations from the masses right from the time of its trailer release. The film starring Kirti Kulhari as the main lead along with Neil Nitin Mukesh and many others revolves around the Emergency period which was announced by former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The famous qawwali 'Chadhta Sooraj' is recreated by the makers and the new version is out now. Madhur shared it on his Twitter handle and captioned it as, "Mujtaba Aziz Nazan recreates historic #ChadhtaSooraj for #InduSarkar, on @saregamaglobal. History unfolds on 28July."
The original song sung by Aziz Nazan is recreated by his son Mujtaba. It shows the political climate during the period of emergency. The song is played at a time when Sanjay Gandhi is enjoying an evening with several other people. It also shows how people are brutally beaten and killed who try to oppose the emergency. Kirti who plays the main protagonist is seen fighting for her justice. The recreated song is sung by Mujtaba himself and has the Sufi contemporary touch to it.
Also starring Tota Roy Chowdhury, the film will hit the theatres on July 28, 2017.
