Jimmy Kimmel: The Emmys will be fun

20th September 2012

Jimmy Kimmel thinks audiences should "expect the unexpected" at this weekend's Emmy Awards.

The Jimmy Kimmel Live! late night talk show host is slated to host the 64th Primetime Emmy Awards this Sunday.

Jimmy has a few tricks up his sleeves to tickle viewers funny bones.

"Well I will say this: expect the unexpected because everyone says that, right?" Jimmy joked to ET Online. "I have some things planned that I think are going to be a lot of fun. I have a prank that the audience is going to be involved in that we're going to play on people who are not watching at home, so I think that's going to be really good. [We've got lots of] actors from your favourite shows. I think we're in good shape."

Unfortunately, Jimmy was unable to get Oprah Winfrey to make an appearance.

The comedian attributes this to schedule conflicts.

"She's in South Africa working on her school with her orphans. She really needs to re-prioritise," he quipped.

The Primetime Emmy Awards will air live from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles Sunday September 23.
