(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Joe Jonas says receiving career advice from Bono was "unreal".
The 21-year-old singer is currently pursuing a solo career after taking a break from performing with his band the Jonas Brothers. Joe has been a huge fan of the U2 frontman for many years and was thrilled when he offered him some tips on songwriting.
"Bono has always been my musical inspiration," he revealed in an interview with British television show Daybreak. "I was writing music and doing my solo project, and he was very encouraging with the lyrics, he said, Be honest. We are a band that have been trying to do that for years.' Having his support and being able to speak to him about my music is unreal."
Joe admits it was difficult to approach his bandmate brothers Nick and Kevin and tell them he wanted to work on his own music. However, he insists his siblings have encouraged him every step of the way.
"It is exciting," he replied when asked how it feels to be a solo artist. "At first it was a bit nerve-wracking to present to my brothers the idea of making a solo project, but they were very supportive. I went to them and said, Listen guys, I have this music I have been working on for a while. Would you guys be cool if made a project with it?' They have been supportive since day one I have been having a good time with it."
Joe has also confessed he has a huge crush on Harry Potter actress Emma Watson. However, the hunk was reluctant to reveal the object of his affections in case he is ever introduced to her.
"The problem with this question is that I end up meeting the person and it can be very awkward," he replied when asked who his celebrity crush is. "I fancy Emma Watson, I think she is pretty and cool." (C) Cover Media
