(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Julia Roberts doesnt work as hard as people think she does.

The actress has had a hugely successful Hollywood career, after she shot to fame playing the lead female role in the 1990 romantic movie Pretty Woman opposite Richard Gere.

The 42-year-old has been in numerous blockbusters since, including Erin Brockovich and Notting Hill, although she says she is actually very selective about her movie choices and therefore allows herself plenty of time off.

I really dont work that much. I think thats whats sort of funny everyone thinks I work so hard, she laughed in an interview with Empire magazine.

Julia was quick to add she did put in a lot of effort on her recent movie project, an adaptation of the female self-help book Eat Pray Love.

Julia plays a woman who goes on a voyage of self-discovery around the world, and says she found the role a real challenge because of its philosophical tone. She added making the film was worth all the work because she formed a strong bond with the movies director Ryan Murphy.

I dont think as an actor Ive ever worked so hard. It was well worth it to find this relationship with Ryan I cant believe how in synch we became, she gushed. (C) Cover Media
