Julia Roberts says that she "always wants to hear the truth".

The 44-year-old actress stars as the Evil Queen in upcoming movie Mirror Mirror where her character is surrounded by yes men'.

But the Oscar winner claims that in her real life she much prefers to have people who are up front with her.

"I always want to hear the truth," Julia told Us Weekly. "I look for people who will be honest and not beat around the bush. That's the best of life right there."

Julia insists that she does not have any of the traits of her wicked character herself. However, she admits she did use people that she knows as inspiration.

"I'm happy to announce she is not inside me!" the mother-of-three said. "But without naming names, I drew from a couple of people I know."

Julia added that the most evil thing she has done is "lie to the press".

"But it was only one time," she smiled.
