Sun Pictures chief operating officer W Hansraj Saxena, who is in prison for the past one month, received a big support on Wednesday, when DMK president M Karunnanidhi came out with a statement, hitting out at the AIADMK regime.

Pointing out at reports that had appeared in a section of the media, Karunanidhi said two persons who had filed complaint against Saxena had reportedly withdrawn them, with one of them claiming the police had proceeded with the case, despite him withdrawing it.

The former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu further said, "The police unilaterally registered a case and this itself shows that those who are not in favor with the rulers are facing such action."

Karunanidhi said there were several newspaper reports about how the TN police did not take any complaints of land grabbing against AIADMK functionaries. Even if such complaints come, they forward them to ministers concerned who in turn settled the matter with the complainants.

The DMK supremo said complaints against Saxena showed to what extent the government could go to take revenge.
