(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Katherine Heigl says she and Taylor Swift are "best friends".

The two blondes met through Katherine's husband Josh Kelly, who is currently touring with Taylor.

When Katherine wasn't busy filming she would rush down to join the two musicians.

"I adore that girl," Katherine told Celebuzz. "I was so excited to meet her! I tried to keep it cool but after chatting for only 20 minutes I was like, We're best friends now!' She is so sweet and down to earth."

In her upcoming movie New Year's Eve Katherine gets up close and personal with another musician.

Jon Bon Jovi plays her ex-boyfriend in the film. Katherine used all her knowledge of touring to try and impress the star.

"It's really interesting talking to Jon about his career and all the little things that I now know about from my husband," she explained. "Like the lingo and when you're touring, how do you feel about your rider - I dropped in as much music lingo as I could!"

New Year's Eve features a star-studded class including Robert De Niro, Ashton Kutcher, Sarah Jessica Parker and Halle Berry plus many more.

But the Grey's Anatomy star was more interested in her own scenes with Jon.
