(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Taylor Swift constantly asked her parents to support her music career.
The 22 year-old singer claims her mom and dad had no desire to help her progress as a chart topping artist. When she was just 14, Taylor managed to convince them to relocate from their Pennsylvania home to Nashville.
"I was just constant, non-stop annoying, perpetually bringing it up. My parents saw that I was so obsessed, that I wasn't going to drop it, that it wasn't some adolescent phase," Taylor told Marie Claire magazine. "My parents were thrown into this - they never had any desire for me to do music."
The star revealed how she was successful in persuading her parents to help her pursue her aspirations. They now act as her advisers, with her father telling her what to invest her money in while her mom gives her marketing advice.
"My mom has a great marketing mind - she always has a good gut instinct on things," she explained.
Taylor's persistence paid off since releasing her debut album in 2006 she has won a host of Grammys, American Music Awards and Country Music Association Awards as well as selling over 22 million albums. (C) Cover Media
