7th June 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Katy Perry isn't afraid to take advantage of her success.

The singer is currently travelling the globe with her California Dreams tour and now her concerts have proven to be a hit with fans, she feels she can demand more props and special effects.

The 26-year-old is determined that her nine-month tour won't get boring and that fans who watch the show at a late date will get to enjoy fresh elements.

"It has room to grow," Katy told USA Today. "A typical tour is three months, but we're going to the end of November. It's nice to be able to expand and get out of the same same same. That's the fun thing about success. I can take advantage of it. Now I can say, 'I want a machine that simulates the whipped-cream boobs from the California Gurls video.' I just want to keep things fresh, keep people on their toes and keep myself excited."

The raven-haired beauty also hit back at reports she made unreasonable demands on her tour rider.

It had been reported that instructions to ensure Katy's happiness on tour included a warning that she was not to be spoken to by her drivers and that there must be ABSOLUTELY NO CARNATIONS' in her flower arrangements.

"The whole driver thing, I have no idea where that came from," she said. "My response was, 'Just change it. Make it not so silly!' My sister handles flowers and VIP stuff. Maybe she has a beef with carnations, but I don't think so. Anyone who knows me knows I'm easygoing. I'm just an entertainer. I'm not asking for the sun to shine at night."

The popular star also revealed her favourite country. Known for her love of all things bright and over the top, Katy explained she loves the cartoonish elements of Japanese culture as the country inspires her.

"When I went to Japan [at 19], it peeled back a layer in my brain," she said. "Everything was so sweet and cute and petite and feminine. Dancing cheeseburgers with faces make me happy. Sarcasm and irony make me happy." (C) Cover Media
