(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Sir Elton John says he and David Furnish have gone mad pretending to be one of the characters from Gnomeo and Juliet.

Elton was executive producer of the animated movie, while partner David was producer, and the pair have got so involved in the film they now cant get the characters out of their minds.

The movie follows two garden gnomes Gnomeo and Juliet, voiced by James McAvoy and Emily Blunt as they are caught in the middle of a feud between their neighbours, but it is Jim Cummings character Featherstone, a flamingo, that Elton and David have been most taken with.

Nanette the frog really makes me laugh so much, shes brilliant. But Im really getting used to Featherstone now, Elton explained in a joint video interview with David posted on website independent.co.uk.

We start talking like Featherstone all the time, it drives us mad.

David is equally enthusiastic about the movie, and thinks that as well as being a great form of entertainment, it offers a profound message. He hopes cinemagoers will leave the movie having understood the importance of love over hate, and a more tolerant world.

Gnomeo and Juliet is inspired by English playwright William Shakespeares classic tale of star-crossed lovers Romeo and Juliet. (C) Cover Media
