Kim Kardashian slammed by PETA

20th June 2012

Kim Kardashian is facing backlash from an animal rights group for wearing snake skin.

The reality star was seen strutting around Paris yesterday in a pair of $5,495 Christian Louboutin python boots.

Sale of the footwear is banned in Kim's home state of California and PETA told RadarOnline that the brunette resembles evil Disney character Cruella de Ville because of her choice.

"They'd go well with a Dalmatian-fur coat, which is also illegal to sell in California and immoral to sell anywhere else," Wendy Wegner, spokesperson for People For The Ethical Treatment of Animals said.

Despite constant pleas from PETA to stop wearing fur, Kim has continued to sport the animal products and even being flour-bombed in March by an animal lover hasn't deterred the starlet.

PETA has got through to one major celebrity in the shape of Reese Witherspoon.

The animal rights organisation sent the actress an educational video about the cruelty making certain products after she was seen carrying a Chloe Paraty python and leather bag last November.
