Kimberly Wyatt: Dolls turned me into an athlete

5th January 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Kimberly Wyatt felt like a professional athlete when she was in the Pussycat Dolls.

The singer-and-dancer left the girl group last year to pursue solo projects. She is now a judge on British talent show Got to Dance and fronts new group Her Majesty & The Wolves. Kimberly is grateful for her time with the Pussycat Dolls because it showed her how tough the music industry can be and made her a stronger person.

She admits the workload was overwhelming at times, but she learnt a lot from the experience.

We were athletes within that group, we danced, we toured the world and performed on some incredible stages. But I was also just kind of a fly on the wall, soaking up all the knowledge I possibly could so I could take it to my next adventure, Kimberly said during an interview on British television show Lorraine. I love those girls, we really were sisters. We were in this little bubble that toured the world and kind of took over so many stages.

The 28-year-old star is enjoying her new role as singer with electro-pop group Her Majesty & The Wolves. The band are currently promoting their new single Stars In Your Eyes and Kimberly hopes their debut album will be a hit because she has plans for an elaborate tour. She has no regrets about leaving the Pussycat Dolls and says recording new material has been an exciting experience.

When I left the Dolls it was sink or swim for me, and I swam fast. I started recording music and trying to figure out what my next adventure would be. This just feels right and I am so excited, this is beyond my wildest dreams, she gushed.

At the end of the day all you can do is your absolute best and I have put my heart and soul into it. Its out of my hands now, I just hope the fans dig the music and I hope they buy it because I have huge plans for Her Majesty & The Wolves and I want to put together incredible live shows.
