(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Kirstie Alley has revealed her close friend John Travolta has been giving her dancing advice.

The Hollywood stars are great pals and appeared together in the Looks Who Talking comedy film franchise during the early 90s. Kirstie is currently competing on American television show Dancing with the Stars and has turned to John for help with her dance moves. John is renowned for strutting his stuff on the big screen, famously starring in Saturday Night Fever and Grease.

"His main thing was just have fun," Kirstie told People.

Kirstie impressed the judging panel on the talent show with her lively cha cha earlier this week and she says speaking to John helped her relax before her performance. She is hoping he may come and cheer her on if she progresses further in the competition.

"He's really excited," the 60-year-old revealed. "I think he will come to the show and watch at some point. I hope. I'll beg."

Kirstie has been paired with professional dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy. She has compared her budding friendship with Maksim to her bond with John, revealing she loves to argue with them both.

"We always fight," Kirstie explained about the times she has danced in films with John and with Maksim in rehearsals. "But he's a great guy... John just dances naturally... John just makes it look easy."

Other celebrities competing in Dancing with the Stars this season include reality star Kendra Wilkinson, model Petra Nemcova and Karate Kid actor Ralph Macchio. (C) Cover Media
