Ashton Kutcher has reportedly "always had a thing" for Mila Kunis.

The former That 70s Show co-stars have been dating for about six months now.

However, it appears that Ashton had his eye on Mila long before the two became an item.

"He always had a thing for her and he finally made it happen," a friend of Ashton revealed to Us Weekly. "It is real infatuation right now."

Until recently the actors have been coy about going public with their relationship. On Monday, photographers snapped Ashton and Mila kissing in New York City's Central Park before sharing an intimate lunch at Bistro Chat Noir.

According to a fellow diner, Ashton said "I love you" to Mila as he picked up the tab for their meal.

Both Ashton, 34, and Mila, 29, got out of long-term relationships recently.

Mila ended her eight-year romance with actor Macaulay Culkin in 2010 and Ashton split from wife Demi Moore in November 2011.
