18th April 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Lady Gaga has teamed up with Queen guitarist Brian May for her new album.

The outrageous pop star is a huge fan of British rock group Queen, and they even inspired her stage name. Gaga has previously spoken about her admiration for the bands late frontman Freddie Mercury and Brians strumming skills appear on the track You & I, which features on her eagerly-anticipated second album Born This Way due out next month.

Its always been Gagas dream to perform with Queen, a source said. If it wasnt for Queen, there would be no Gaga.

This collaboration with Brian May means the world to her.

British star Brian, 63, is widely considered to be one of the greatest guitarists of all time and fans are eager to hear the track.

Gaga real name Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta got her name because her then-boyfriend and producer Rob Fusari used to sing Queens hit song Radio Ga Ga to her whenever she was in the studio.

The 25-year-old has previously praised the band and paid tribute to Freddies distinctive stage presence and singing voice.

Freddie was unique one of the biggest personalities in the whole of pop music, she said. He was not only a singer but a fantastic performer, a man of the theatre, who constantly transformed himself. In short: a genius. (C) Cover Media
