Lady Gaga furious over cancelled show

20th December 2010

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Lady Gaga was furious and devastated after being forced to cancel a concert in Paris.

The pop star is currently on the European leg of her Monster Ball Tour, and was due to perform in the French capitals Bercy venue yesterday.

Lady Gaga couldnt wait to take to the stage, and was hugely disappointed when extreme weather conditions meant her tour vans couldnt get to the stadium with all her equipment.

A press release on the venues website stated the performance had to be annulled because of a ban stopping heavy vehicles of more than 7.5 tons onto the road in the snowy and icy weather. The singer vented her frustration over the situation on her Twitter page, and even revealed some of her employees had been arrested trying to remedy the situation.

All 28 of my trucks for the Monsterball were detained by the French government going on over 26 hrs, 2 of my employees were arrested trying to get into Paris so we could perform (sic), tweeted the star.

I am furious and devastated, its unfair to my fans and to me (sic).

Lady Gaga had been prepared to do the show without her equipment which was stuck in the vans, although she accepted that would have been tricky. The star felt extremely sorry for her French fans, especially because she loves the country so much, but kept them updated by posting a picture of the situation.

I asked if I could do a stripped version of show, but there would be no sound or power source, its all been detained. I'm so sorry, angry +sad (sic), she wrote.

I love Paris + I love my French fans. I'm sorry little monsters. A photo of storm, I'm stuck on bus (sic).

Lady Gaga was pleased to reveal the postponed show has been rescheduled though. The singer hopes to perform this Tuesday at the venue, and has ensured her fans it will be a night to remember.

Today's cancelled Paris show is rescheduled for Tuesday, 2moro's show will happen as planned. I promise to give u the nights of ure life. X (sic), added the singer. (C) Cover Media
