(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Lady Gaga believes the key to her musical achievements is remaining normal.

The American singer has achieved phenomenal success since her musical introduction in 2008. Famed for her flamboyant look and extravagant costumes both on and off stage, the 24-year-old insists she is one of the most level headed singers in the pop industry. She believes her calculated choices ensure she remains the same person she was before the fame.

At some point about two years ago I said, Am I going to put my toe in the Hollywood pond and figure out if I wanna live the glam life and lifestyle? and I just really didnt want to do it. I dont like Hollywood and I dont like the whole scene, so I just said Im going to go home and figure out how to be the first pop singer to ever live in the same neighbourhood for the rest of their life where they grew up. So thats what I do. I drink whiskey at the same bars, I go to the same hardware stores, it works really well for me, she said in a recent radio interview.

With Gaga readying for the release of her new studio album Born This Way in May, she admits she was in two minds over what track to release as the first single. Gaga opted for the title track, which was released earlier this month, but almost went in another direction.

One of the songs on the new album is called Marry the Night, it was originally going to be the first single, but then I said no we have to put Born This Way out first because the message is so powerful, she added. (C) Cover Media
