(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Leonardo DiCaprio and Blake Lively have split up.

The Hollywood couple were dating for just five months but their reps confirmed to Us Weekly today that they are no longer together.

The Titanic star and the Gossip Girl actress will however "remain friends" they maintain.

Leo, 36, and Blake, 24, were first seen together on Steven Spielberg's yacht in Monte Carlo on May 17 during the Cannes Film Festival.

During their brief relationship the couple were seen in Italy, California, New York City and in August, Blake flew to Australia for just a weekend to be with Leo while he was filming The Great Gatsby Down Under.

Leo has dated his share of beauties including Bar Refaeli who he was with for five years before breaking up just weeks before he got together with Blake.

The television star dated her Gossip Girl co-star Penn Badgley for three years before that came to an end in October 2010.

The split has come as a surprise as it was recently reported that friends of Leonardo's had claimed they had "never seen him like this with a girl" before.

During the summer Blake apparently spent "the whole time baking" for her man at his Los Angeles home.

"Leo's never dated a girl who can cook. And he's smitten!" the insider said. "I bet they get engaged in six months."

But as if foreboding, Blake recently told Glamour magazine that she never takes it too hard when a relationship ends.

"I have a strong sense of myself," she declared. "That gives me a sense of security, you know? Every relationship you have, you're learning and growing and taking something from that."
