(Cover) - EN Star Style - Lily Allen's wedding dress was designed with a "little bump" in mind, it has been revealed.
French designer Delphine Manivet, who created the beautiful lace gown, said that she knew from the start that the star was trying for a baby and chose the fabric accordingly.
The vintage-inspired two-layer Raphael' gown was modified to accommodate the singer's growing baby bump and Lily looked stunning on her wedding day.
"We knew from the beginning way back in January that Lily wanted to get pregnant, so I designed the dress she wore underneath in silk tulle to be comfortable over a little bump," Delphine told British magazine Grazia. "We were very excited when she told us the news. It was beautiful."
Lily's third pregnancy made the design even more special. The 26-year-old suffered a devastating stillbirth last November, her second miscarriage in two years.
But with the happy news that she is expecting again, the singer was very specific about what she wanted the gown to look like.
"Lily wanted something traditional and not too exposed," Delphine explained. "She wanted a vintage look, but a new dress with a veil and a train. I came back to her with a modified design and a three ft train and she said it was perfect. She really trusted me and was calm in her choices." (C) Cover Media
